My Story
This year, Race For Life is at the top of the list of things I want to do. Not only do I want to do it for Cancer Research, but for family and friends who have had their battle(s) or are currently fighting their battle with cancer. This year I'm racing for my Nanna who fought her way through cancer twice, who we sadly lost to cancer when she was diagnosed a third time. For my boyfriend's Grandma, who I had the pleasure of meeting, who we sadly lost to multiple types of cancer, but who's life was extended thanks to what Cancer Research has been able to improve. I'm also racing in celebration of Elaine Macpherson who is a friend and work colleague who won her battle with cancer and for my mum who is currently fighting cancer with great strength, determination and positivity. My mum is my rock and truly an inspiration to me and I want to make her as proud as I am of her! May I face this race with these women's spirit, hope, strength and determination!
