My Story
Thanks for looking at my page. Those of you who know me will know that cancer has rocked my family a number of times my life, with people that are close to me bravely facing it again right now. A donation is not just money, it's support and help for those that need it most - people facing severe challenges, heartbreaking decisions and some of the worst moments in their lives. I'm doing this 10k Shine walk in memory of my dad, who was taken from us just 3 months after diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. For my Nanna, who also died of pancreatic cancer. For my Grandpa, who died of cancer when I was 14. For my mum, who faced down breast cancer. And for my aunt, currently fighting leukemia.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
