Nearly everyone I speak to is affected by the "C" word. Cancer not only impacts the individual but the people around them. That feeling of seeing your loved one in pain and fighting their battle with Cancer and not being able to take the pain away is an extremely difficult place to be. More research will help develop better and more effective treatments for cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. For many of you who know me well, know I am DEFINITELY not a runner nor did I own a pair of trainers until now! This will be my first of hopefully many races for a cause that will make a difference to so many people. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
