I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to help people like my Mum who has cancer.

My name is Evie Lissaman, I am 11 years old and I am running the Race for Life to raise money for research to help cancer patients like my Mum. It would mean the world to me if you would sponsor me, so I can help my mum and others with cancer.

My mum was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 5 weeks ago. She has had one operation and will be having another one soon. I want to raise money to support research into cancers so that people like my mum will not have to suffer in the future. This is my way of helping.

My nanny Rosemary, my great-granddad Fred and my great-grandma Joyce have all died having had cancer.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
