My Story
We know all too well how quickly cancer can turn life upside down. That’s why I’m taking on the 2026 TCS London Marathon to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. We all know someone affected by cancer. Sadly, it’s something that has touched far too many of our family and friends, and more recently, it has also affected someone a little closer to home. We’ve stood beside loved ones through the fight, felt the heartbreak of loss, and seen just how much cancer can take. It’s unpredictable, it’s relentless, and it reshapes your entire life around it. I’m running to help build a future where no other family has to hear the words, “I’m sorry, it’s cancer,” or sit through those hospital appointments filled with fear, hope, and the weight of the unknown. Every day, I’m amazed by what the charity has already achieved, by the research and clinical trials bringing us closer to that future. I feel incredibly lucky to work for an organisation doing such important work, and now I want to play my part, but I couldn't do that without the support and generosity of people like you (yes, you, the one reading my story). All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
