My Story
Cancer is a horrible thing. It destroys lives and wrecks people's families. Everyday, over 1000 people die from cancer all around the world and around everyone 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lives. This must stop. Cancer research are helping bring that number down. Every penny donated is a step closer to beating cancer. Everyone who does the race for life, even if they only fundraise a few pounds, are helping stop it. I am doing the race for life to try and do my part in beating cancer. No one should ever have to go through losing someone due to cancer. I hope that cancer will be beaten.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
