My Story

My grandmother sadly lost her battle to lung cancer in March 2019, losing her was the most soul destroying and heart-breaking thing I have experienced. She was an amazing woman and I loved her so much... Cancer dominated mine and my family's life for a long time, although it happens all around us, never did I expect to lose my grandmother to it. If there is one thing we all want, it is getting that one step closer to combatting the 'C' word. Through the grief of losing my grandmother I have learnt to embrace the pain and use it as fuel for my journey. Cancer is happening all around us, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and to help save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
