Sheila. A wonderful woman who battled breast cancer with dignity and strength

My Story

Hi all. Georgia, Clara and I are taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. My wonderful mother in law who is sadly no longer with us was a true breast cancer warrior. My auntie has recently battled breast cancer, had a kidney removed due to cancer and is now undergoing radiotherapy for bone cancer in her hip. Her resilience and strength are amazing. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us whatever you can now.

All Cancer Types

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.
