To mark my birthday this year, I'm taking part in the 5k race for life. Cancer has affected a number of people that I love dearly over the years in varying degrees and its one of the worst things you can see someone go through. In a moment of feeling helpless about it all, I remembered RACE FOR LIFE!! and that in a small way something can be done. This will be my third race and its truly a humbling experience seeing the names of people written on bibs who have been ill or worse past away.... It's noted that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
