Watford Pretty Muddy Kids 2018

Sat 9 Jun 2018

I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy in memory of my Nanny G.

In memory of

Nanny G

My Story

We are close friends who have both lost grandparents to cancer. My grandma (Nanny G) passed away very quickly after being diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer in 2006. I sadly never had the pleasure of meeting her, but have heard many lovely stories about her to keep her memory alive. Matthew’s grandad sadly lost his fight against bowel cancer in 2016. We are running the Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids in their memory, but also to celebrate other family members that have survived cancer and are still here with us, including my Great Auntie and Matthew’s Grandma. We would like to raise money so that families like ours have more time with their parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, aunties, uncles and children. So that grandparents have the pleasure of spending time watching their children's children grow up. So that families have the chance to grow old together. Please help us by donating whatever you can, every penny counts, no amount is too small. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
