My Story
Brought to you by the Powick Players We’re Powick Players, A local panto group known for our love of laughter, a bit of glitter, and raising money for good causes. This time, we’re swapping the stage for a SUNDAY FUNDAY EVENT and we will also be taking on a sponsored fancy dress walk to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. One of our own, a member of our society, recently shared that his mum has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This is in honour of her and for everyone who has been affected by cancer in some way. Whether it’s a parent, a friend, a colleague, or someone in your community, cancer touches far too many lives. So we’re running this event to help fund life-saving research and bring a bit of joy along the way. Every donation helps, no matter the size. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
