My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. For many years now I have struggled with walking issues and have had to use crutches for a lot of the past 10 years or more. At one point I even had to use a wheelchair as the pain was so bad, living on pain killers to be able to even function. Several X-Rays and even MRI Scans nothing could be done to stop the ongoing issues. When pain is so constant the days when there were none were so noticeable so one day I decided to drop the crutches and walk through the pain. It was quite difficult, but I fought through it, and also decided to drop the painkillers, getting up to 5000 steps daily after a couple of weeks, my legs felt stronger. In recent weeks I have also dropped the car for most journeys and now regularly walk between 7000 to 10000 steps daily with my all time best of 22000 in one day. So if I can help raise funding whilst improving my health it seemed like a very worthy cause, both my parents succumbed to cancer and I know several others fighting it daily. Help me help others.
