My Story

Hello and welcome, one and all! I'm very excited and super grateful that you're here. Welcome to my November Readathon, where I'll be reading non-fiction women's health books all month to raise money for Cancer Research UK—a charity with a very special place in my heart. A few years ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer, my mother with skin cancer, my aunt with skin, and my cousin with breast. And most recently my boyfriend's mother fought her way through breast cancer. So many women in my family have been affected by cancer and have come out the other side of this battle as survivors. But that would not have been the case if it wasn't for the life-saving research conducted and upheld by Cancer Research UK. So now I'm doing what I can to support this wonderful charity by doing something I've always believed can bring people together—reading. As this fundraiser is focused on a health issue, all the books I'll be reading will be centered around women's health & feminism. Two topics I'm incredibly passionate about, which are also the backbone of my soon-to-be-launched small business—a book blog which aims to be the number one resource for women's health & feminism books. The read every day in November challenge requires 1 hour of reading per day, which I'll be documenting via pictures and videos on my Instagram account: @theladieslibrary & TikTok: @theladieslibrary.
