I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives.

My Story

As many of you know, I lost my mom to cancer. This November will be 10 years since I heard her laugh, sought her advice, shared her life. I've lived and learned a lot since then, never doubting that mom is still by my side and cheering me on. Throughout her decade-long battle, we completed many races such as this one to support funding for cancer research. This will be the first race her granddaughter will participate in as well - hopefully the first of many we do together. Please consider giving what you can.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
