Dean Boyle founded Gym Upholstery UK back in 2001. Gym Upholstery UK provides an on-site fitness equipment upholstery repair service helping gymnasiums across the UK maintain their vision, health and hygiene. Dean first met Joanne in 2006 who quickly became part of his family, business and ambitions. Through hard work and determination, Dean and Joanne built a successful thriving company becoming the UKs leading on-site upholstery repair service. Joanne was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and battled through 6 years of intensive treatment alongside running the business with Dean. The doctors were in awe of Joanne for continuing working through such a difficult time. Knowing her life was coming to an end she ensured that her husband Dean was left behind with his dream still intact. Joanne sadly passed away at the age of 44 on Monday 6th May 2019. In memory of Joanne, Gym Upholstery UK will be taking on a challenge to reupholster 44 pads in 44 gyms in 4 days. Each gym will have 1 chest pad reupholstered in purple to raise awareness for breast cancer. Dean Boyle will be going back to where it all first started, carrying out the challenge himself across the UK. The challenge will take place on 1st - 4th October 2019.
