My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. If you know me, you know I really REALLY like sitting down and don't move unless I absolutely have to, but I'm going to heave my lazy ass off the sofa and walk around five miles a day for a month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Last year we lost grandad to lung cancer just 11 days after his diagnosis. He raised me and taught me to read and bought me my first Harry Potter books. He helped me with my homework and taught me spelling and grammar. He stabbed my elbows with a fork if I put them on the table while I was eating. He was the first person to make me laugh. He was my moral compass. His scalp would simultaneously tan, burn and not react to the sun so we used to joke that his head looked like Neapolitan ice cream. He would say "born up a tree" when we were about to start eating. He and my grandma were childhood sweethearts. I lived with him until I was 9 and saw him every week for Sunday lunch until I left home at 20. I didnt get home in time to see him before he passed away. So help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me.
