Emma's Race for Life At Home
Race for Life at Home
Sat 24 Apr 2021 - Mon 24 May 2021
Why am I running, and why am I asking you to donate... I became aware of cancer when my partner's mum died of lung and bone cancer back in 2018. Sara was a truly fabulous lady that left this world too soon and left a big gap in the world. 3 years on and one of my bestie's was diagnosed with breast cancer. Gemma is fighting strong and I am in awe with how she is handling this chapter of her life. So we are choosing to team up as the Glitter Girl's and raise as much as we can to fund research into a disease that touches so many lives. Across the UK each team member will be walking/running 5/10km at the same time of day as a joint effort and symbol of solidarity not only for Gem, but for all who are affected by cancer and as a thank you to all the staff that have been a part of her care. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
