My Story
Cancer - probably the worst word in the world and no doubt the one word everyone dreads to hear. We can't imagine there is anyone who does not know a family member, friend, colleague or neighbour who had, has or will have this dreaded disease and for all those who have and in the future will kick cancers butt, for those who are today fighting it & for those who have to fight and will loose the battle this is for you! Every 4 minutes in the UK someone sadly passes away from Cancer. Cancer does not just rob a person of their future, life and that bucket list yet to be completed but for everyone close to that person, daughters yet to be walked down the aisle by their daddies, sons not yet had their first (legal) pint down the pub and grandchildren & great-grandchildren not even thought of yet, mothers and fathers expecting to go first but instead finding themselves having to say goodbye to their own children instead its a heart breaking situation to be in or close to and one no one wishes. Is it best to know you have cancer and spend your years fighting it with chemotherapy possibly leaving you weak and poorly, endless injections, tests, scans and worrying about those around you, preparing your Will and heart-breaking letters to loved ones to pass away not knowing or to have had just a few days knowledge but no time to prepare other than to say I love you and kiss and cuddles those you love a few more times before you go....... With over 100 different types of cancer, is there a single part of the body that cancer cannot get us? Thank you for any pennies you may have to support us or just words of encouragement.
