To raise money to fund vital research into a cure for cancer.
In December a mole appeared on my foot that was dark and growing. The doctor referred me to the skin cancer referal clinic where they removed the mole and sent it for testing. After a three week wait it came back benign. For me it was good news but it could have been so different. So on 2nd July I will be walking / running the race for life and I will be thinking of those people who did not get good news from their results.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
