My Story
Cancer is happening right now, it's happening everyday, of every week, in every month, every year. Cancer affects everyone whether it be directly or indirectly. For those who know me well know that I hate running with a passion and unsurprisingly this is the first running event I've ever taken part in. Cancer has touched my family, taken loved ones and has left others still fighting. I do not know anyone who has not been affected by cancer, which is why this is such a worthwhile cause. We all need to do our bit to support those searching for cures and treatments so that we can secure a future where more surviving this heart breaking illness. Thank you for your support! Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
