My Story
11 months ago, I was sitting in a hospital room hearing the words no one ever expects to hear, breast and lymph node cancer. The months that followed were some of the hardest of my life. Treatment, surgery, exhaustion, fear, and also perspective, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for simply being here. Now, almost one year on, I want to give something back. This February, I’m taking on the 100 Squats a Day Challenge to raise money and awareness for those walking their own cancer journey right now. Every squat is a reminder of how far I’ve come and of the strength we discover when we have no choice but to keep going. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
