Hearing the words “you have cancer” is life changing. I have a shockingly bad memory, but I know I’ll never forget 18th September 2018 - diagnosis day. My wonderful friends and I are taking part in the Shine Walk in a bid to support cancer research and hopefully reduce the number of people who have to hear those dreaded words!! Anyone who knows me will completely understand that the biggest challenge for me won’t be the 10k walk, it’ll be staying awake late enough to do it!! Xx
CAUSE
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
