My Story
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 129 men every day. Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 11,000 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. This is partly the reason why I’ve decided to dedicate the money I raise specifically to prostate cancer. The other reason why is because unfortunately my dad was one of those 47,000 men a year who was given the diagnoses that he had prostate cancer. Luckily due to the ongoing incredible research and the amazing work of the doctors he was able to overcome the cancer and is now cancer free. This is why I want to raise money, to prevent cancer from ever winning, the more research the stronger we get in the ongoing fight against cancer. As a team the UYHC ladies and I are doing a 5k pretty muddy in York during our pre season to raise money for cancer research. Any donation would be hugely appreciated. Thank you xx
