Emma's Race For Life!

Last year I ran my very first 'Race for Life'. I have to admit as the date got closer I was sort of nervous. Those who know me will understand when I say PE was not for me. But I did it. I completed it and I felt great once I did. I felt that I had achieved something personally but had raised money for such a worthy cause also. Last year I ran in memory of my God Mother whom had passed away earlier in the year from secondary cancer. It has just been her year anniversary. I run this year in the same ilk, in memory of all who those whom have suffered from cancer and lost their brave fight and for those it continues to affect everyday. But this year I run because like many, cancer is affecting my family today. If you have run before you will know you are given a sign for your back to say whom you are running for. I have attached a photo of my back sign from last year in the Gallery below and you will see that I was running in celebration of my auntie Cal whom was 14 years 'Cancer Free'. Unfortunately the brave fight for Cal still continues as we found out a couple of weeks ago that she was suffering from secondary cancer in the 5th vertebrae of her spine. The good news is that Cal is feeling determined and I’m really proud of her. She beat it once and she can do it again. She’s determined to fight and that’s why I’m determined to go for it!
