To raise awareness of a rare form of cancer that has taken two people who were very close to me.
In memory of
Auntie and Colin
My Story
I cant believe that in 6 months one of my best friends Roxy lost her dad Colin Capp and we lost Auntie both to oesophageal cancer. They say that its not a common cancer and if you look at statistics of 2014 in the UK 8,919 people were diagnosed with oesophageal cancer compared to 55,222 that were diagnosed with breast cancer. Though no amount of funding will bring back Auntie and Colin I hope that one day the knowledge of cancer will mean that no one will go through what they did. So i am doing 2 events, 5k race for life on Sunday 11 June and the 5k pretty muddy on Saturday 9th September. Both events are going to be a challenge, in memory of Both Auntie and Colin. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
