On the 20th January 2016 my Mum lost her fight against Bowel cancer. She was diagnosed just 5 days earlier. Cancer research UK work hard to encourage people to come forward for testing much earlier and conduct research into easier and more simple and less frightening ways to diagnose cancer, earlier diagnosis would have undoubtedly given my Mum much longer and potentially it could have saved her life. Our story as a family could be much different. Cancer caused my Mum pain and suffering and it took her away from us, it continues to this day to bring me and my family suffering as we deal with her loss. If the funds I raise spare another family just 5 minutes of the pain my Mum and my Family have been through then it is money very well spent. Cancer also stole 2 of my Grandparents and as a young child I watched my Mum suffer their loss and grew up not knowing them. To this day it continues it's path of destruction as some of those around me who helped me through losing my Mum now have their own battle with cancer. To them I send all my love. To my Mum - This is for you!
