In memory of
Jacqueline Jefferson
4th Jan 1939 - 4th Jan 2016
I am running the Race for Life in memory of my Grandma who died in January 2016 on her 77th birthday; less than three months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is notoriously difficult to diagnose and treat, because it is unusually aggressive, and symptoms are often vague and appear at a late stage when surgery is no longer possible. It also has the lowest survival rate of all cancers – just 3% of those diagnosed survive for five years. Sadly, there was no cure for my Grandma but hopefully one day there will be. I appreciate that there are a lot of fundraising pages about at the moment and would be grateful for any donation you can make to help improve outcomes for people with cancer. Thank you :) .
