My Story
Last year we headed up to London and the roads were closed. Sone race was going on. As we sat in the traffic I looked up what was happening and decided right there and then to sign up for 2020. This race is 10k and goes through London’s beautiful city taking in some lovely sights so... I have been out and about running and practicing. I am now on a mission to use fitness as a way to raise awareness and raise money for good causes. Cancer seems to effect more people that I ever realised. In the last couple of years it seems every month another one of my parents friends is diagnosed with this awful disease. My best friend's dad is currently undergoing Chemo when he thought all hope was lost. My friend survived breast cancer 3 years ago and is now healthy, my boyfriends brother was diagnosed last year and underwent treatment for prostate cancer and is now doing well, but not everyone is so lucky and had these 3 been diagnosed 10 years ago, I expect it would be a different story. We can't avoid it, it is everywhere, but with research into new treatments, there will be more survivors. Research can only happen with funding. Donations of even just £1 all add up and so every little bit extra really does help. If you are reading this and can miss your costa coffee today and donate the £3 to this instead it might just be the extra needed. Please help. If you can't help financially, any words of encouragement are also gratefully received as the running is not easy for me! Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
