On 19th December last year my Grandad sadly lost his battle with lung cancer.
In memory of
My Grandad Paul Horace Cooke
I have decided to take part in Cancer Research Dryathlon for 2nd year running as last year was such a success. Last year on 19th December my Grandad sadly lost his battle with lung cancer. While everyone else was getting ready for christmas my family had been torn apart just 5 days before the big day by my Grandads death. My grandads battle with lung cancer was short an he was snatched away from us very quickly. Not long prior to this my Nan had recovered from throat cancer. Please please donate, even of its just 50p. My target ks £50, last year i managed to raise £180 and extended my Dryathlon to 8 weeks instead of just doing Dry January. This year i will also be trying to raise money for St Giles Hospice as a way to say thank you to their hospice in Lichfield and to the amazing staff who looked after my grandad during the end of his life. The dedicated staff at St Giles made a very hard time in my families lives a whole lot easier and i feel they should be praised and recognised for the brilliant work they do. The links to make donations to either Cancer Research or St Giles Hospice can be found below. Thank you in advance to anyone who does donate and for visiting my fundraising page. Donations can be made at - https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/emma-cooke-dryathlon-challenge-2017 Or https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Emmasdryathlon This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
