My gorgeous little nephew was diagnosed with Leukaemia on Christmas Day 2019 and shattered the hearts of all that know and love him. He spent his 3rd birthday receiving treatment instead of having a fun filled party with his twin sister Winter. He has fought this hideous disease with such bravery and has today (25 Sept) completed his treatment. He is officially in remission and I am so unbelievably proud of not only him but my sister Holly, her husband Tom and of course Winter. Having to deal with this during a pandemic was just another hurdle they had to overcome but well and truly conquered it. Everyone who knows me, knows that I leave everything to the last minute so signing up to do this at such late notice is typical of me, but the timing just feels so right. I have done zero training and only ever run for chocolate or cake so this will be a challenge, but if a 3 year old can kick cancers butt then I can do this.
