Em and Olivia's walk for life♡☆

Thankyou to you lovely people for visiting our page! So next weekend, 21st July will mark 3 years since we lost our mum Susie to cancer. So on Sunday my sister and I will be taking part in the 5k race for life, although for me it will be a 'walk for life' because I am still recovering from my stroke, this event will be very hard but I'm sure with the support of my sister Olivia, and with my determination we can do it! Why can't I show the hope, courage and bravery that our Mum had? I had a stroke but I'm getting better so although this physical challenge could never compare to the physical, emotional and chemical journey our mum faced every day for the last ten months of her life, we want to do something to carry on the fight and say thank you to her. I cant tell you how much she's helped us all. Each time I'm on a walk and my little legs get tired I think about the hours she spent receiving treatment, I think of all the times she never gave up, how she faced every step of everyday with tremendous courage and bravery and a smile! Our Mum is and always will be our hero. She is the person we look up to and the person we miss so much. Without Cancer Research and the amazing support of the RD&E, Oncology Doctors and Nurses, FORCE, friends and family Mum may not have had the chance to fight for the ten months she did. When someone you love dies, cancer doesn't just stop, it's pain remains in the lives of the family and friends, for us there is a massive Mum shaped hole in our hearts that we have to cope with everyday. Taking part in this race won't ever bring back our Mum but by raising money for Cancer Research UK everyone can help bring that day closer when they say 'We did it, we have found a cure for cancer'. Nobody else will have to live out all their amazing life moments with their loved ones. We are doing this race not just for the memory of Mum and to say thank you but for those people who need help and support, and the people who can't run this race. We're walking for me, my mum, my family, my gorgeous friend Al and her family and I'm walking for you gorgeous people! Cancer research makes a huge difference to people, real people, people like you and me. So we are asking you from the bottom of my hearts, to dig deep, be generous and please donate!
