Emily's Race for Life

I'm taking part in Race for Life because I like to run away from my problems so I might as well raise money at the same time
Oh hello, here we are again, for the Race for Life sequel that no one asked for or wanted. I usually fill these descriptions with jokes and light-heartedness and make fun of my relative lack of running prowess, but this year I am just fully fed up with this awful disease, and I'm running the Race for Life because it feels like the only way I can contribute usefully to wiping it off the face of the Earth. It's got to the point now where it would be quicker to list my family members who don't have/have not had cancer. This year my mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, a few months after my dad entered remission for mantle cell lymphoma. We have collectively had Enough Of This, Thank You. So if you have any money you can spare, please throw it in the general direction of Cancer Research, and in the meantime I'll do some more damage to my knees.
