Emily's Race for Life
Blackpool 5k 2020

In 2018, my mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer. When she told me and my siblings, we were devastated! all we could think of was how did this happen to the person who fed us our first meal? That day roles in my head day in and day out! But, now when I look how much she has been through... I am speechless! That woman who cried so hard, who was terrified but kept a strong face on for us, was actually the bravest person I know! She kept fighting through every step of the way with her family behind her! Last year she was given the all clear. It was the best feeling, best news we could have heard! She is a rolemodel to me, Ruby, Noel and everyone fighting cancer! She had hope and faith she would get through this tough patch. She succeeded! Our family is closer than ever! Thank you to all the medical staff near and far who helped treat her and you will never be forgotten! Every donation you give, will help find a cure to cancer, to help people who were suffering like my mum! I am running the 5K for my mum! For my Rolemodel! To beat cancer!
