My Story

My reasons: In 2018, my Grandad suffered with prostate cancer, he was in hospital a lot during the summer and unfortunately lost his battle in August 2019. My Nanna was diagnosed with a rare cancer in August 2012 and unfortunately she died the following year in January 2013.I can't believe this year marks 11 years of doing this event in memory of her. Each year except (2018 and 2020) I have done the Race for Life in memory of loved ones and to help find the cure. Since I started in 2013 I've now raised around £1000 towards Cancer Research UK. As I don't want other people to suffer like they did and by doing this I could in fact be helping YOU and me in the future. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
