My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Last year my mam was diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine tumour (NET) which isnt a common type of cancer. We were all devastated to hear the news as it wasn't anything we were expecting to hear. After several scans and trips to the hospital she was told that a part of her bowel would have to be removed along with the tumor. She spent a week in hospital and had her operation which went well according to the doctors. She has now fully recovered and just started back at work, she had to take 6 months off work after having her operation delayed by almost 3 months. She is now waiting for her next scan to see if the cancer has gone from her body completely. We all have our fingers and toes crossed that nothing else will be found in the next scan. I would be hugely grateful if any of you could just donate a little bit of money to help cancer research keep finding better ways to kill this horrible disease that takes so many lives.
