Shine Night Walk Southampton 10k 2026
My Story
When I was just 12 years old, I lost my Dad to bowel cancer. Losing a parent at such a young age changed my life forever, and its something that has stayed with me every single day. Cancer affects far too many families, and sadly mine is one of them. That's why Ive decided its time to start fundraising again. This October, Ill be taking on the Shine night walk alongside Aaron and Abygail to raise money for Cancer research UK. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps fund vital research that brings us closer to better treatments, earlier diagnosis and, one day, a world where more families don't have to experience the heartbreak that mine did. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
