I'm taking part in Dryathlon, having no alcohol this January to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon and raising money for Cancer Research UK. Cancer has affected members of my family, my friends families and many people I know, so the cause is a very important and worthy one to me. This morning I was told by my doctor that I should stop running for 6 weeks due to an injury, I was not happy but saw it coming. In order to allow my injury to heal I am following doctors orders. Shortly after seeing the GP, I saw an advertisement for the Dryathlon. As I have previously raised money by participating in running events, I decided to take part in this instead. So this time friends, I am not asking you to sponsor me to run - that would be too easy, but to stay away from the red wine...which could be an even bigger challenge!! Please back me up on this one and help me raise £100. Thank you.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
