My Story
4.10.20 Edit- actually gonna keep doing 5k daily til I reach £1,000 ! PLEASE SPONSOR ME SO I DONT HAVE TO KEEP GOING 🤣 & Paul gets some peace 🤣 & his wife back who likes to sit, slob & laze with him 🤣 Might have to inc to 6k to try & improve my speed to 5k in 30 mins, then match the 25mins I did when I was 25, 19 years ago 😳🤣 26.9.20 Edited- Not only am I SO stubborn, driven & competitive to achieve the 5k last Saturday, because it was the official day, with no training, Paul at work, girls walking dog, me running mini circuits around them ! 🤣 But because I only decided a few days before & hadn’t really promoted, I only raised £100 by run day. So ! I decided to run 5k daily til a week on Sunday ! with the last run being 10k ! Asking for just £1/run or 5k to make max a tenner ! 23.9.20 I am now well recovered from finishing my chemotherapy & radiotherapy 15 months ago ☺️ I returned to work happily just 3 months after finishing those, us all having had such a lovely well deserved summer 2019. Then, we’ve achieved a lot in this last year ☺️ We survived the start of Covid, I’ve got fit, enjoying yoga with the girls & Paul, & managed to achieve running for 30 minutes, but only 4k during the lovely hot weather in the shorter than expected couch to 5k 6wks ☺️ Then summer & 1st camping holiday happened 🤣 & running, time & motivation stopped. Last year I vowed to do a 10km run for the first time in my life this June for Race for Life, but have struggled with lack of motivation of no physical run to aim for, with friends & family. But thankfully seeing the adverts for this Very 2020 Virtual Race for Life just this in the last week, I’ve managed to run for 30 minutes again ☺️ however, still just 4km. So ! By the end of September, I WILL achieve RUNNING for 5km for this virtual Race for Life ! & by making this promise to you all, I WILL run my first 10km by Christmas ! Thinking Oct Half Term a bit of a stretch ?!🤣 But I’ll try ! My fitness MUST continue into winter ☺️ After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. “That's why I'll be taking part in a Very 2020 Race for Life. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor me today!
