Elly's Race for Life

I am taking part in Race for Life 10k along with some other fabulous ladies, in memory of our friend and colleague Cath. Cath sadly lost her battle with cancer this year after an incredibly brave & determined fight. Her positivity & determination throughout showed her true strength of character. Cath played a huge part in our nursing team. She was a fantastic nurse with a huge heart that never went unnoticed by the children & families we cared for. I find it incredibly cruel that after all those years of caring for others, she was taken at such a young age. I still can’t quite believe she’s gone. If by doing this 10k we can make even the slightest bit of difference in the future for others, then we have to! Most of my memories of Cath were of us laughing, something as a group we will all be doing as we drag each other to the finishing line!
