My Story
Pam, our lovely Mum and Nana was diagnosed with Mesothelioma - a rapidly aggressive, terminal cancer caused by asbestos, at the start of November 2023. Mesothelioma treatments are available, including chemotherapy & immunotherapy, which can give a few extra months. Sadly our Mum/Nana was too weak to try either by the time she was diagnosed. Seeing her go downhill so quickly in the last few weeks, was a huge shock to us all. She sadly passed away just 8 weeks later with us by her side. Mum, Nana, Big Nan, Forever in our hearts 💕 We have decided to join Race for life in her memory, to raise funds in the hope that a cure can one day be found for future generations.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
