My Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Around 4,400 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Thanks to research, around 8 in 10 of those diagnosed today will survive for at least 10 years. The end of last year, my amazing friend Cody Henry, 22, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). Continuing her hard fight with cancer, along with research invested into Cancer Services, Cody has reached remission and continuing her treatment to finish her battle with cancer. I am taking part in A Race for Life, to help continue the amazing research into cancers, and to continue to help save the lives of young people around the UK like my friend Cody. This is for you Cody, keep smashing it! Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Thank you.
