At the end of last year, both my Uncle (Godfather) and Dad were diagnosed with Cancer. After fighting hard my Uncle lost his battle to bowel cancer in the middle of April. My Dad is still fighting throat cancer, after 3 operations (2 major), 6 weeks of radiotherapy (30 sessions) and 5 sessions of Chemotherapy. He is currently recovering and making a slow progress back to normality where we hope to get the all clear at the beginning of next month. Seeing them both struggling through this horrible disease is/was heart-breaking, the least I can do is go a little out of my comfort zone and go for a run! Thank you to all those who have come here to donate, every penny really does help in the fight against cancer!
