My Story
Cancer will affect most of us in some way at some point in our lives, and over the past two years I’ve lost both my Nan and my Dad to this horrible disease. Although survival rates are now much higher, for certain types are cancer they are still shockingly low. Pancreatic cancer, for example, the rate of survival for 10 years or more is less than 1% and there hasn’t been an increase in that figure in over 40 years. More research needs to be done into the types of cancer that are heard about less often.
