My Story
This July, my sister Kirsty, my friend Alice and I will be running (or jogging, or walking…) the 5k Race for Life! We're raising money for Cancer Research UK, who've made some really ground-breaking discoveries in cancer treatment since they were founded in 1902. I'm doing this race in memory of my mum. As many of you know, she died in October 2016, having had cancer for eighteen months. Because of that, this topic is really close to my heart, and I'm looking forward to taking part in such a brilliant initiative.
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
