My Story
Having worked in Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Units for the last 8 years I know exactly how important the research is and how vital donations are. I have decided to join my friends and colleagues at the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit in the Pretty Muddy to give back (more than just sitting at my desk every day!). Despite my picture below, I am NOT a runner (though in doing this I don't think my family will let me get out of this year's Boxing Day run...!) If you have ever wondered what I actually spend my time doing and the type of work your money would go to, this is one of the trials I am currently managing in mesothelioma https://www.facebook.com/hyundaiuk/videos/293795651308209/UzpfSTY3NTUzMTgyMzoxMDE1NjE3NDU1NjYyMTgyNA/ and my two other active trials in bladder cancer: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/find-a-clinical-trial/a-trial-looking-at-sgi-110-with-cisplatin-and-gemcitabine-for-advanced-solid-tumours-spire#undefined and prostate cancer: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/find-a-clinical-trial/a-trial-of-azd5363-with-docetaxel-and-prednisolone-for-prostate-cancer-that-has-spread-and-is-no-longer-responding-to-hormone-therapy-procaid

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
