Ellen's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Unfortunately, I never got to meet my grandad Pat due to Bowel Cancer and recently received the horrible news that Cancer is affecting our family again. My beautiful and brave mother was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and has undergone major surgery and today 09/05/2019 after a difficult past few months for herself and all those who love her...I received the text to say "I'M CANCER FREE!!" So, regular check ups for the next 5 years and the next few months recovering but she battered Cancer, recovery is a breeze! Tears of joy finally. Cancer affects everyone one way or another. I have always wanted to do something like this challenge to give back to people who really do save people’s lives. Now seeing my mum push through pain and fear I feel more inspired than ever! So, time for me to get my running shoes and promise to not complain when my unfit self gets a cramp or I swallow a load of mud and to ask if you could please please PLEASE donate whatever you can, every little truly helps.
