My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k to raise money and save lives. This will be my second Pretty Muddy 5k! This year I will again be running in memory of my Nanny. I also wish to show support for all the people with cancer that I've worked with and the incredible teams of professionals that surround them. As a volunteer at Birmingham Children's Hospital, I did art and play activities with children in the Oncology Unit. Nothing's better than watching a child walk down the corridor to ring the bell, announcing that they beat cancer - except seeing even more children do the same. Your support can help that happen. I've also started studying Occupational Therapy this year, and I've been part of the professional teams surrounding people at varying stages of their cancer journeys. Supporting Cancer Research UK will change their future for the better. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Please show your support by sponsoring my Pretty Muddy 5k and donating to this important cause.
