I am running as a former cancer patient for the future of cancer research to eliminate this disease.
Three and a half years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The treatment I received saved my life. Before me and since friends and acquaintances have been undergoing the arduous journey through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I would like to know that one day the diagnosis of cancer does not strike fear in the heart of anyone who receives it but is an entirely treatable and curable disease. I am doing the Race for Life, deeply unfit though I am, to support Cancer Research UK in their quest to cure cancer. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me with whatever you can afford. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
