I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. I'm running for Lela, Sandy and everyone who has been affected by cancer.
I don't know of anyone that has not been affected by cancer, knows someone who been affected by cancer or has been diagnosed themselves. My family is no different. Cancer stole my godmother from my family a few years ago. It still feels like yesterday. Cancer has continued to rampage my family since. My aunt is currently fighting cancer for the second time in her lifetime and she will be undergoing surgery in the coming months. None of this is fair. None of it is deserved. Cancer doesn't care. The least I can do is a short run. Raising funds is important, we need to rally together and try to find hope and maybe even a cure.
