In memory of
My Dad!
20th Jul 1955 - 8th Jan 2019
In 2019 I lost both my Dad and Aunty Sheila to cancer. It was a tough year, and one I hope never to repeat. Both were caught relatively unawares and at points where it was too late for current treatment. Running isn't something that has come easy to me, but was a bit of a necessity come when the first lockdown hit and I couldn't swim anymore. As i often do when i get into new sports, I got very excited, brought all the gear and attacked it with far too much energy. Obviously this has resulted with me having far too many minor injuries and having to calm down a bit. I know 10km isn't the longest of distances, but please let me use it as an excuse to raise a bit of money for a worthy charity, with the hope that one day less people will have to go through what my family and I did.
